I was genuinely surprised to see Gaya beat up Ham Eunjoo. In a sea of South Korean works, it is extremely rare to ever see a male character using violence against a female one in an even somewhat positive light. They are almost always demonized and vilified for doing it, even if the female character is absolutely horrible, like Ham Eunjoo was. I liked that Gaya did this because Ham Eunjoo was such a horrible person.
But even with that said, the author still had to explicitly contrast it with the "greater" male evil, with a rapist. In the same chapter, the author had to tone down the male on female violence by contrasting it with Lee Jinnam.
And Gaya didn't even beat up Eunjoo for setting Ari up for rape. Gaya didn't even know that's what was happening.
I don't know. I'm just making observations and comments.
