One of those Yuri's that's not even Yuri. That said, volume 1 and 2 are pretty good reads so long as you can accept lack of real yuri. The second season/Volume 3 is just pointless, however.

the ending of the first story felt really unnecessary to me like some kind of forced bittersweet drama ending for the sake of it being so. meh I don't want something like that I just want a sweet end

Wrote a review on this, here it is:
https://terrenceswiff.wordpress.com/2017/01/02/blue-friend-2nd-season/

I wrote a review for Blue Friend/Blue Friend 2nd Season, since 2nd Season is one of my favorite mangos. It is my opinion that the 2nd Season (volume 3) of this manga is quite a lot better than the first (volumes 1 and 2). They're completely different stories, and the 2nd Season story is pretty lighthearted and nice while also examining some interesting culture things. The first story is quite dark, however, and fairly depressing, but it's admirable how bold it is.

I go over this more in the review I wrote, so I suppose you can check that out if you're interested.

The third volume should have been on it's own and not with the first 2 volumes. Might as well be a completely different story.

Idk how you could say any of these weren’t really Yuri. They didn’t explicitly say anything about romantic feeling but it was obviously there and it wasn’t even in context, I felt as tho they both had very mature relationships. But both stories could’ve had a better ending

Because the ending of the first story was kinda a painful bittersweet ending to see I’d like to assume they eventually got together
