This is so overdramatic, but honestly this is the first time I've stayed invested in a shonen sport manga even during matches.

@Bananimal Well I don't think its overdramatic, how its shown, yes maybe, but he has a problem mentally because of the goal thing, and also he likes his team and wants it to stay in, and I believe him not getting his weapon has sparked some kind of problem within him, so I guess him just putting together that puzzle just kinda made it all click.

@succubewbs It definitely plays it up. That's the nature of sports anime as a whole is playing up a sport and really ramping it up. But keeping you invested is important. It's overdramatic, but hype and intense. It's easy to get drawn into. And I think part of that isn't just the writing but the artist. The writing has some cool stuff, but things that always kill Shounen is how they keep going imo, the fatigue and drawn out length as well as scaling. That we'll have to see. But the artist has great style. After reading this I read Dolly Kill Kill just for more of this artist.

Finally, this series show something more than "overpowered" BS play. It's starting to look exciting, with Isagi could play-out a tactic instead of individual performances.

Finally, a modern football style of manga

The alliance of central midfield playmakers has entered the chat...

Anyone that knows football knows that Isagi is clearly much better suited as a an offensive playmaker rather than an out-and-out striker, man's playing like Xavi and Iniesta 😂😂😂
