Quite a few moments in the story made no sense, like how they figured out they can restrain Fukami, but they didn't take away his wristwatch in case his mask gets removed.
And the cyborg-chief was a bit much, as well. You'd need to justify that kind of character so bloody much, in order to have what was originally a tribalistic, barbaric test subject -- and allow him to become a chief researcher. Of a highly classified area. Where you'd need to pass through massive screening tests for both intelligence, knowledge, skills and psychological state. It just feels incredibly ham-fisted that he's even there.
Furthermore, how the hell can a tribe that has this incredibly rare disease, is just...Connected to a nearby city? These 2 kids just waltzed through the forest, and reached civilization. What the heck? They went through Narnia's portal or something? That tribe seems to be incredibly easy to find, and it's also bizarre 2 energy researchers / goons were just there to capture them, if their existence was shrouded in mystery.
Also, how on earth did Fukami even get those C4s, or the gun? As far as the story made us aware, he was a normal university student until he joined the committee. The author had him slip in high-grade explosives all around the facility like it's completely normal.
Overall, it seems like the author just shoe-laced a few parts that make no sense, just for the sake of convenience. Even the MC's amnesia gained the manga like 10 chapters, which, apropos, what's the point of erasing someone's memories if they can evidently regain them?
Well fuck me I had more to complain about this story than I thought I did.
Anyway, twas still a nice story, it passed like 2 hours on a boring Saturday.
