Wow, you're right. And in chapter 3 Kazuki says that the hotel was going to be finished in "two summers from now". So it has been two years. The time skip was so subtleWait I just noticed the cover art for this chapter says 2014, but the first chapter says 2012
Yeah it's weird. She and her family are portrayed to be rich, but like upper middle class rich. But considering that her father basically owns the entire town, she should be billionaire-tier rich, or at least close to it. She should have a private beach, private yachts or at least her own private swimming pool, not having to resort to a public swimming pool. It's not the first time that this disparity in wealth shows itself too. She's rich enough that her pocket change could easily fund Moka's university fees or at least improve Moka's living conditions immensely but the thought hasn't ever crossed Kazuki's mind. I'm surprised that it never came up as a topic between the two actually, could have for some interesting conflict between the two.Kazuki's family don't have private beach or something?
maybe they try to live more modestly..? im not sure. also owning a town doesn't really mean someone is a billionaire, especially considering this seems to be a smaller, lower-scale town. i also get the feeling moka wouldn't want to live off of kazuki like that.Yeah it's weird.
