When I was in 4th-5th grade, I lived in a neighborhood full of Dragon Ball fans. After school, we would gather in the park to pretend to be Z Fighters. Of course, someone had to play the villain like Frieza or Cell.

It was fun, even though it felt abstract. I don't know how we played it back then. Halfway through the game, the villain could turn into Goku—or anyone. Or maybe some character from another anime would suddenly make a cameo. Maybe if someone had made a fanfic based on our game back then, it would have been really fun (laughs).

Then, in the middle of 5th grade, I had to move to a new place. There, I was the only Dragon Ball fan. In fact, I was probably the only anime fan (at that time, besides Dragon Ball, Digimon Adventure was also trending). When I pretended to be Goku & unleashed a Kamehameha wave, I was bullied. Since then, I've often been called "the crazy one." That's when I realized how valuable it is to have friends who understand us.

Thanks for the translation. This is a funny story, but also a sad one. I hope they are happy.

It happens to a lot of people, I'd say I never got bullied since I can take care of myself, it still stung though, thinking maybe you can get along with someone just for them to judge your hobby, what film you watch or even the game you play, sometime even a backhanded comment like the first commenter we have here (not that I'm bashing them or anything, what they type out is such a good example is all lol)
