This reminds of how many communities in North America are struggling with addictions and homelessness. Just imagine what would happen if Hiroi didn't have that support network and she gets evicted for some reason. Now she has no home which compounds the already unmitigable stress she has of just existing, which would further feed her emotional reliance on alcohol. This scenario happens often in North America and governments at all levels are not equipped to handle this issue for various reasons, most of them purposeful.
