I love this manga. Even after rereading it for the third time, I still get new feelings from how the characters act. Also, there are so many good quotes in it. One of my favorites manga without a doubt.

Rereading the manga for the 3rd time, dammit author, why you destroyed Kayo X Satoru ship! Never felt crushed like this before. I cried a lot after watching Kayo ended up with the ladyboy, and after reading the chapter 45 ... so heartbreaking

I overlooked this because I was a bit lukewarm on the author’s other works, but I can safely say after binging it in a single day that this might be one of the most enjoyable manga I’ve ever read. The story, characters and personal developments are all done fantastically. I’m looking forward to re-reading this a year from now.

I just realized that the only reason I disliked this story is that I watched the anime a few years ago, the manga has a way better ending comparatively.

Imagine if you time traveled to save your waifu from dying. You succeeded, but in return, you went into a coma for several years. When you finally wake up, the first thing you see is your waifu already holding a baby. Turns out while you were in a coma, she got married with one of your best friend.

Tbh I was happy that
Satoru ended with Airi. Satoru and Kayo were never my ship, I always saw them as these non-romantic soulmates. I mean, think about it. Satoru went back as a 20-something old guy in a kid's body. How weird would it be if we fell in love with a young Kayo... I mean, Airi is also younger than him, but when he meets her she's almost an adult, whereas he never got the chance to get to know the grown-up Kayo... I hope people get what I mean, lmao.

Surprised by how many people think
Kayo was an actual love interest when she was like 12 and the MC was 28.

I love how this manga has a whole volume of post ending side stories that are actually well written and interesting (and explain stuff)

only problem with this one is the trope of a man having a love interest far too young for his age.
This isn't a romance manga by any means, but it is implied that there are feelings between an adult man nearly 30, and a teenage girl, which is just gross.

I hesitated quite a lot between an 8 and a 9, but in the end, it's a 9.

I first want to adress the comments regarding the implied pedophilia. The main character has absolutly no interest in the characters he is helping, aside from their well-being. I wont spoil anything dont worry, but i have to explain a few things.
At several points, the main character is seen reacting to the girl he is with, either by blushing or by beeing startled. Those can easily be explained by the fact that he is a lonesome 28 yo man with barely any experience with women. Which would explain his rather childish reactions. Also, it's well known, overused manga trope. It's a bit out of place yes, but nothing alarming.
Another moment would be when he sleeps with said girl, and his mother asks if she is in the way and he answers yes. I think he was merely joking, or at least that it was more of a reflex answer than an actual thought out answer. It could also just be for comedic relief. Remember, they are 10yo. A tad too young for puberty.
When he wakes up and start spending time with the leukemia girl, there are a couple of journalists thinking of turning his story into some tabloid shit. A 10 yo in the body of a 28 yo talking to grade school kids. In my opinion, it's a meta commentary of the author. He is saying "I am aware of how it looks from the outside, dont worry.".
That's just my two cents. I really dont think there's any reason for concern.

Now, why do i really like this manga?
First off, i'd say the art. It's not great, but it's unique. Those faces have something eerie, and i love it.
Secondly, the characters. Most of them are very well written, and so are most of the backstories. The gaiden chapters helps fleshing them out a lot.
Thirdly, the story itself. Although we dont really know why
he is time traveling or if he is time traveling. If it's a dream, then the story cant work, there's a paradox. But
, it's not really the point. The story is more about how one should be acting selflessly to help others. And that's what his mom is all about. Which brings me to my fourth point.
The mother. God damn. That's one hell of a wonderful character. If i had to give a reason to read this manga, it would be for the main character's mother. The author has perfectly grasped what motherhood's all about. I did not tear up like I did for "Real", but i was pretty close. The selflessness she shows, it's admirable. And the gaiden chapter gives a bit more insight as to why she
was always there for him, and spent 15 years nursing her son.

I may be wrong, but in my opinion this manga is about self sacrifice, selflessness and open-mindedness. There's a tiny bit of social commentary, another bit on the concepts of good and bad. But overall, it's about sacrificing yourself for good of the others, for the ones you love. And I dont think there's more noble topic out there.

A great read, thorougly recommended, 9/10

edit: TL;DR: no pedophilia here. Love and selfless sacrifice only. 9/10.

Im would be lying if i said i dont want to see satoru with kaho,
which make me dissapointed when i see her with her baby.
But satoru with airi is also not bad, it just that they'd have challenge. (Though i dont think its harder than to having a time leap & the effort to saving the girl to capture her hearts, isnt it?)

It’s a 10/10 if the story ended before the last arc it seemed that the author was just going over the same things but just in the future. The reveal was great I was expecting one but it still got me a little. The last arc tided in the starting female character which if that starting character wasn’t in the manga and it ended an arc earlier with a time skip not a vegetable then perfection but solid a 9/10
charters were amazing except one that was just pointless not bad. if they were a bit older instead of 10 then the author could have taken the less realistic but nicer romantic ending but pee pee poo poo
