No, it’s 100% about appearance.

if a 80 pound 4 foot nothing tiny kid started trying to break noses and get in fights, most people would take pity on him until they didn’t. He’d be lucky finding all his teeth after they’ve been knocked out.

You just cant be an asshole like that unless you are legitimately intimidating, otherwise your asking to get your ass beat and deserve it. And no one will feel threatened so if you start shit, even the grandma cutting in line in front of you would pick you up and slap you silly until you shut up and stopped whining
