I discovered this story yesterday and it has captured my heart entirely! This feels like a breath of fresh air, after which you suffocate. I would applaud the author, if I could, for the fact that they can display the emotional and physical burden that is placed upon musicians from an early age, as well as for asking the question "Do you really have to be a genius?" and that there is nothing shameful in accepting that you aren't one and in seeking help when necessary. The way Tetsuo reacted to Ikumi's brilliance further shed some light on my personal life, since I was also a brilliant child, yet suffered from bullying at school for reasons I couldn't comprehend back then.

@Headphones13 I’m glad you’re enjoying it as much as I am 😊 I’m a professional musician myself, so I’ve always loved anime/manga with a focus on that. But this series has become my favorite out of all of them.
I have an interview with the mangaka that I will translate at some point and post on Tumblr/Discord; there aren’t many interviews I can find with her, especially on this specific manga, so I was super pumped to find anything. She is an amateur cellist herself, so I think that helps a lot with how she understands the mental mechanics behind playing and being gifted/not gifted.
