Hey all,
In regards to the FX, I hate doing them lol.
While I do enjoy the final product and think it makes it look better, the amount of time and energy it takes to translate them is more than the rest of the work combined.
So I'm thinking of not doing them in the future, but I wanted to ask people's opinion on it first.

I think it's fine. If it really bothers you or some other people, instead of translating and redrawing, perhaps place the phonetic pronunciation around the borders like reference notes?

Oh typesetting them isn't an issue at all lol, its just hard to translate them due to their ambiguous nature so it can be unfun.
Im thinking next chapter I might try doing fx last, so far I've been doing them first before the translation is properly settled. So next time I might do the translation to get proper setting for them to see if that helps narrow down the translations so it's quicker and easier

Honestly, I rather like the SFX in Japanese; when it isn't immediately obvious, maybe a little "shiver" in the margin to explain what the SFX are, but...
Generally, the mangaka works hard to make the SFX part of the story, and I like how they do it.
Trying to erase an entire panel, and do 270 layers just to change ぽもふ into POMF is just a waste of your time.
Is all good.
