Waah, missed the tragedy tag on the way in, because I'm not used to looking at this on my phone.

...Honestly the tragedy adds, like, nothing to this emotionally. It does reminiscing about sweet parts well, but for the tragedy portion it just goes through the generic motions and I just feel a bit bummed, and modestly peeved at the author for doing that to such a nice young couple.

A generic happy ending would have had a better emotional payoff under these circumstances.
