I felt similar, I do think it's a good thing that, without forgetting how important it was, they can leave the old ideas of someone idolized behind and get to love and admire the people both of them are now (Asahi already does anyway lol)

Don't see much changing, tbh. Most mangas end after the confession. So we'll get close to some expression of feelings but nothing explicit, I'd say.

It still seems super obvious that prez is going to win and Fuwa has no chance, but they keep setting up throuple hints so who knows.
