I like the mood of this manga, and the art is great. The artist is excellent at rendering emotional expressions on characters. But the writing, a lot of the time, is just bad. There have been SOOOO many cases where the author created these extremely forced circumstances to make the plot happen. This thing here with the hypnosis and the trigger and Asahi figuring out the exact extremely far-fetched circumstances at the last second just so she could panic at the right time, it's all so completely unbelievable. I'm not saying things have to be realistic, but they should at least not constantly depend on repeated super improbable events that barely have any coherent internal logic. I also feel like a lot of the "feel good" moments are kinda forced and not properly built up and earned. I'm just saying this because this really has the trappings of a very good romcom, the cast is great and the concept of the fully connected love triangle is interesting, and I did think Gamers! was absolutely fantastic, but the writing here is so sloppy that it's distracting.
