Told yall werent ready for this chapter.

That said Asahi had to make her move because she knew Mahi was starting to wake up to the realization that Sora could be More than friends.

So she Made her move, only Time Will tell how and if It pays off.

But this doesnt come out of nowhere, she turned down Fuwa, gathered how Mahi felt about Sora and correctly threw the gauntlet, and this Is After Sora knows hes the trialing prince, she could have chickened out after saying hey i accidentally kissed you.

But this girl went for the neck and said "ok Heres one youll se coming boi!"

It would spells disaster if Mahi in turn Made her move in the up coming chapters, because while Sora and Asahi have been getting along real well, if he found out that all the Time he pinned Fuwa when he should have been Pinning for Mahi then he would be in a disastrous love whirwind.

What Will happen next?

when you say Miya, do you mean Mahiru?

Unless I majorly misread the entire series, Miya's the younger sister that Sora liked, who in turn liked Asahi (and confessed/was rejected two chapters ago).

Give me 15 minutes and ill correct it good sir.
totally fine, just was wondering if I'd been woefully confused this whole time.

But yeah - to the point of what you said, I think Asahi has reached the conclusion that it's 'now or never' in multiple ways.

  • There's Mahiru and her undeniable chemistry with Sora, and their longtime history in one another's lives.
  • There's the fact that Asahi is leaving at the end of this school year, and that any chance she has to make a play diminishes each day that passes.
  • As you said, she knows who Sora is now, in terms of her past memory from the hospital. And all their shared time together has made her fall for him just on his merits of the present they've shared, before adding in the "Trialing Prince" myth.

And Asahi watched Miya gather all that courage and confess to her, even if there was every chance it wouldn't work out. It tore at Asahi's heart, because she does love Miya...just not in the way that Miya needs most.
But Miya still picked herself up, and as Sora said here--she's moved forward, refusing to break under that, treating it as an experience that doesn't invalidate her feelings or tarnish the time they've had together.

And I think Asahi took some inspiration in that. And when she copped to the truth over the "hand puppet kiss" and saw Sora's reaction to what actually happened, Asahi realized it was her chance. The metaphor of the archery range trial was direct, but the message still works: she has to shoot her shot.

Either? The older sister hasn't even shown any attraction towards the president at all. Do you mean the protagonist?
I think they were saying "rather than Asahi getting with Sora, I would prefer either of the sisters (Mahiru or Miya) getting with Sora instead".
