I can understand it being a “for fun” question but making it some kinda hw test does seem like it’d put pressure on kids (though I remember hearing an anecdote where it was common for girls to say “bride/housewife lol)
Then again I doubt the kids who grew up saying astronaut or race car driver actually follow thru, while the latter is slightly more realistic (tho someone like Yumenashi sensei wouldn’t “crush the dream” of an elementary schooler but I can imagine some teachers gently letting them down easily/steering them towards realism), considering how society is esp is with Jp work culture and “conforming” with society tho at least bird guy seems happy
When I was in first grade I think i said ballerina simply bc I thought pink tutus were cute but even at that age I was self aware to realize I wouldn’t actually be one , not that we had to write an essay or anything (I do feel sorry for any girls finding out how rough it is, apparently a lot of bodies have to retire before 30 or so/it strains ur muscles or so) tho I rambled more than intended woops
lol poor teacher I don’t think I’ve ever ran into a teacher outside of school/class but they might not have lived in the same city, idk if it would’ve been a pain or conflict of interest but i do remember the few teachers who had kids, theirs def didn’t go to the same schools they teach but id assume other than some rly obstinate kids they’d simply write down something common/popular to placate the teacher bc it’s not as if they’d if next week they’d take steps to make their dreams come true immediately or so versus visiting some workplace as a field trip
