I don't think the translation was right. The first sentence is him repeating back HER sentiments on dating in a clearer way, then adding his own. The follow-up probably should've been closer to "something like that?"

as mentioned, the wording is awkward and confusing this chapter, are you sure translations are correct?:

examples:

page 7 should be 'I won't be the representative of all men' (unless MC actually did screw up his grammar?)

she also said the same thing twice? : 'what about men'? 'what about them?'

page 8: 'are you wrong?' 'wrong...' also seems to come out of nowhere so maybe his line 'that's valid too' was actually supposed to be 'so I guess I am wrong?"
