Dude everyone would be dead if its not for you. You don't need anyone to "give you control" about anything. The moment you are gone, they are all dead. They really have a raging boner for this humble everyday man shit in isekai. That's why its so easy to backstab them.

That girl has a dogshit attitude
No?

She's just a failure shut in gamer girl coping with porking with an orc.

Hell, the whole lot of them are disappointments to their families, hence their enrolment, even their dissaperance from the hill is probably a Godsend for most of the families.

It's always the goody two shoes as heroes, rarely do we find more despicable main protagonists.

Keep in mind that being in his grade she knows exactly how he’s been treated by his bullies and abandoned by his classmates and teachers, her included. Then this guy literally saves her life and she’s still dismissive, calculating, and cheeky towards him. I’m sure he doesn’t want her to fawn over him or anything but at least a bit of respect for his feelings would be nice.

On the other hand, she's definitely taking pressure away from the MC by sharing responsibility/leadership duties. In order to do that, she needs to appear (behave like) more or less equal to him. The rest of the girls might be worshipping him already, so it's more valuable to have someone with a different sort of attitude. If she defers to him at all, it will automatically make him feel like that he's ultimately responsible, even if she seemingly also leads others. By behaving like this, cheeky and all, it will enforce the feeling the equality, meaning she's bearing responsibility for her share of duties. Maybe if she fails, Kazu would still have some regrets, but less than he would otherwise. If he was an OP mofo, it might not matter that much, but he's not. He alone can't beat an orc onslaught.

She can do all of that in front of others but it doesn’t excuse her behaviour when they’re alone.

I'm talking about the mental/psychological aspect of it. It doesn't matter whether they are alone or not. If he caught her clearly acting it all (faking it), it would be all over. He couldn't anymore rely on her in the same manner. The private/public difference has to be only that they won't disagree in public, only in private. If the rest of the girls witness them arguing about anything serious, it would decrease the general morale and faith in their chances. But that's just basic organisation psychology.

Soon seggs with Shiki! :win:
Shiki seggs when
never.
Is it really a spinoff?
Don't remember these characters from LN. Dead people stayed dead here. Could be author either milking his universe or trying to answer questions that were left unanswered here.

She couldn't do anything to help MC, his bully was that powerful. Her personality is a mix of post rape trauma, desire to keep their junior girls alive at all costs and regret that MC was treated so bad and she couldn't do anything.
