You know, everyone is talking about side effect as it's the meaning of "remaining life". but what if he is talking about next life? what if the prince and princess had to "enjoy commoner's life" until they are reborn to use the spell again ?

I mean we aren't sure the spell could be used multiple time. what if the pillar can be summoned once in a life, and if veronica and eugene survived it they should wait until next life to use it for a greater purpose ?

In a way I'm starting to wonder how much all the specifics of the tangled stuff matter. I mean, it's theoretically possible that for some reason the whole "Forbidden Spell" and killing everybody and all that was in the service of some good so great that if I knew I'd be all "Well, it sucks, but those puppetmasters had no choice".
But in practice, no. Puppetmasters with means that involve mass slaughter and betrayal never have very good ends behind it. Sometimes they theoretically do, if you were to ask them they'd have a justification that sounds noble, but if you look at the results of both particular vile deeds and the process in general you start to realize that it actually either doesn't advance those supposed goals at all, or at best does so far less well than non-vile approaches would. Usually underneath any justifications the real motive is "more power for me and mine".
So my point is, there's a puppet master out there and he's trying to get people to help him do stuff and he's occasionally trying to kill people and so on. Maybe it's Lucas; he's surely at least involved. Whatever he's specifically after, it's almost certainly bad, so the real urgency is to identify who's working for him, turn them, and find the bad guy. At that point if you want to know the truth, you could try beating it out of him, but it might be safer to just get rid of him . . . ideally not by magic.

The fact that Minami may still be affected by the side effects of the forbidden spell really gives a reason as to why everyone is remembering their past lives. Minami is also more observant than I thought, to have realised that Zeze was Eugene, without anyone telling him.

Minami has consistently been the smartest of the lot. He's pretty much been the central figure who solved all the issues so far without relying too much on others. So I wasn't surprised that he'd caught on. Remember, that he's been making shady moves before as well when he sought out the real Ashley in the tunnel before.

I’m thinking that their remaining time maybe be linked to the oracles that minami is having. Maybe he is having them because of the spell. It has bad side effects IIRC

Well, I do believe "remaining life" is about side effects. This also gives us a sense of "endgame" for whole Bokura no Kiseki - a life threatening time-limit. And the biggest "obstacle" to overcome, explaining why Nishina was pushing "remembering it all" from the very beginning (assuming he may knew it). Also, in Guidebook and "7 mysteries", I was surprised when Kumeta-sensei questioned "oracles", asking "in the first place, are those really oracles, or...?". So it fits to think now, that Minami's headaches are not real oracles (they are usually bestowed upon priests) but side-effects. I believe the princess was aware about those side-effects, but for Minami, this memory is still "sealed" and thus holy spirits yelling at him to remember it all as fast as possible.

Also important small things: we're done with Wednesday! This one day took 4 VOLUMES. This day ends with Hiroki and Moto going back home.
Starts with Minami remembering things in the early morning (we cannot see sky color, but it is surely dawn) and getting his old scar (and this scar he got few seconds before dying...).
So we're on Thursday morning, starting with Abe and Watanabe seeing at school.

Also, next chapter is the last to-catch-up. Also, next week new japanese one will be out. Can't wait to read it!
