Chapter 155 was released last month and chapter 156 will be released next week in Japan.
So still 9 to catch up... (and one whole volume consists of 6 chapters, so 1,5 volumes lol)

thanks for the TL!! love veronica-sama's outward attitude to glen's goal (at least what she tried to appear to be ww). i hope hiroki (glen) gets the air they need before they suffocate under all that regret.
lmfao i've tried doing that before in school because i used them (a small cutter) in my classes, and i didn't want to bring my big ass bag and also i didn't want to put it in my pocket (too dangerous and too annoying), so i tried fitting it in my shoe (as a joke mostly), and i can tell you, it's so uncomfortable for my small feet lmao.
not as much if i put it on the sides (lie), but it slips up until it's under my feet (because there was nothing to keep it at place like kikuchi did) so it's uncomfortable again and dangerous! not to mention there's that shoe thing too, it really shows and forms a bulge where the cutter's at, since it's a fitted shoes for school (part of the reason why it was uncomfortable for me, was because there was barely any room for the cutter. my fault.). i guess maybe not as much if it's made of a lightweight material?
and with the "uncool" part of it, i bet he can just get over it 😂 it's one of the quickest way to get the weapon you need while still hiding it away😂

This story is really slow burn. And sadly, there is no much romance or exciting moments in it.
I just love the draw style and the hardwork the author spend to build this story. But I just want to know the whole meaning of them remember their past life for as soon as possible.

Oh wow, some big revelations here. I knew Hiroki was keeping her hatred on lockdown, but I had no idea it ran this deep. She might even give Minami a run for his money in the ‘repressed rage’ category. Turns out Glen wasn’t just an innocent golden boy, but was legitimately plotting to tear down the heads of House Belbania and Alphard. I mean they totally deserved it, but I guess Dolgerg wasn’t wrong to consider Glen as a threat.
Also the shipping! Gah! That moment when Glen told Veronica his plans (P.12) she looks down cast for a moment as she realizes he’s leaving before she covers it up and supports him fully. Then when Veronica mentions he might come back to the castle one day (P.16) and stops herself is just… ahhh! Speak your feelings girl! Be selfish for once in your life/lives!
God, the writing is so good. How do I ship Veronica/Minami with everyone!? I heard someone mention that Veronica is a reverse harem protagonist and that just fits perfectly. Hiroki x Motoi has been growing on me, I adore Minami and Takao, but holy hell do I want some closure on Veronica/Minami and Glen/Hiroki. Is it weird that their dynamic makes me think of them as useless lesbians for some reason? They’re so dramatic, filled with sexual tension, obviously like each other, everyone else thinks they are a thing, and they do everything except talk about their feelings! Please just kiss already!!!
Kikuchi seems to be going for the kill now. Could be just a threat, but I doubt that with this brainwashed nut. I wonder if Hiroki will be forced to use magic to defend herself. We have Zeze on the stairs and Takao behind a door on standby, but they seem too far to help immediately.

So if you read a bit between the lines, it's all a plot from the spirits. The whole meaning is here but you have to piece things together a bit.
The Spirit is basically a parasite. It's turned into a mythological story in Veronica's world : "it took pity over the dead people killed by magic and reincarnated them", but the real truth is that it uses "death by magic" to spread over new people, so to speak. Or if you put it another way, it's the Devil's whisper. "I grant you power, use it as you wish" and when humans use it for conflic, bam, new hosts.
Minami mentioned it before, but even assuming everyone behave now, there is no guarantee they all will later in their life. Right now they can mostly keep magic under control and avoid as much as possible to showcase it or affect ordinary people. The only outside victim until now is Minami's friend, and somewhat their teacher who is suspicious of them.
But life is long, and shit happens. What if someone else use magic and hurt, or even kill someone else ? What if the forbidden spell is unleashed once again, this time on the massive population of Japan ? Well, what will happens is all these people will reincarnate, either in this world's or in another. This time, most probably with magic as well. In the blink of an eye, the world would be under the spirit's influence same as Veronica's.
The Church is basically how the spirit control everyone else btw. It's not even destructible from the inside, as Nishina/Lucas discovered: if your goal is the destroy the Church, the very second you get access to the highest rank and get "the honor" of being possessed for the first time, you are forced to speak your inner thoughts, so if you blurt out "I want to destroy the Church" you immediately get purged. It's a failproof system.
The only chance Minami and the others have, right now, is to get rid of the Spirits inhabiting Nishina and remove them from the world completely. Or else they'll become a ticking time bomb for pretty much the entire world. Their main advantage however is that the Spirit is not human, it's a lot more alien and very naive/shallow in its comprehension of humanity, so they can act and deceive it while the spirit is spying on them, hence the clown show Nishina, Zeze and everyone else is doing.
