Bart is the coolest and kindest character in this series. I still believe he reincarnated as Shino because I hope and think he will also be here to help them. Both he and Shino have the same eye shape, which is usually a hint of their reincarnation. Their personalities also match. And it would be funny if he liked someone who likes Glen (Hiroki).

I think he lunged at her exploiting her absentmindness and inner turmoil, but he got his guard up when he saw "light" of new resolution in her eyes, which gave Moto a chance to catch him by arm. Then he cut his own finger with that pocket knife, because using magic requires offering and fresh blood is nice one. And activated his own magic. It's hard to tell how much he was only intimidating and how much actual bloodlust was there... he's goal was to escape anyway.
