I don't know why, but I really liked "paisen" actually pulling his weight in whatever way he could. It was a bit like... not comradery, but some nice unity. I think he just wants to be the center of attention and "kids" (well, 3-4 years younger than him, but still) are easier to impress with money and being goofy. I like these dynamics so far.
The bois are really cringe, but they're teenagers - they're always cringe, so I appreciate it. Actually, they feel more secure than many others, weirdly. Like "when homies get as gay as it takes, just for the bit to land better" type of secure. Somehow though, those tiny bits of Tobio's monologue sounds like something dark is going to happen, as the bois slowly approach adulthood.
Oh, also - I know I've said good things about paisen, but the way he just gave the thugs money, it just has to end badly. More will come, just because they know our bois have a rich people pleaser of a friend.
