And Furuhashi knows hers friends like him so shes even less likely to make a move even if she does gain feelings. Which is still vague even now. And sensei definitely still doesnt have feelings for him which is a shame

I'm surprised people like this arc, I found it very unpleasant. The mother's vlog feels like a get out of jail free card for all the tension, and it still doesn't really make the father forgivable. If it were only his actions that we see, maybe, but this has apparently been a pattern of behaviour for years. He's an utter deadbeat who has failed as a father and no sudden realization will make that better because he was never doing it for any real reason beyond what he himself envisioned the scenario to be.

Having regrets and being awkward doesn't suddenly make up for literal years of mistreatment.
