Bones had a solid start, but nothing too exceptional. Then it got remade and things took a turn for the worse immediately.
The plot only goes farther and farther down the drain but had me coming back to see how far it could sink. It's easy enough to follow but it throws a "Oh, we're doing this now" at every corner, I had no idea where the plot was going.
As for characters, I could care less for any of the characters. MC isn't given much other than "My life sucks, gotta save my mom, every thing must die". My "favorite" character is probably the villain because it's fun what they do with him later on. Aside from them no one really matters.
The initial premise is almost thrown out entirely, it's barely even there by the time it's hit 10 chapters. Tension is non-existent, the MC's ability will bail him out of any situation. Doesn't matter how strong or skilled the opponent is, he just wins eventually.
The art is great, iffy at first compared the original but it is good. My favorite moments of what the artist is capable of is when a certain character loses their mind. At this point I think they're the only part of this entire thing that I genuinely like.
If you don't want to think and have a free afternoon. Or if you can have fun with a dumpster fire, then this is something you could consider giving a shot.
