If the protagonist has no reproductive system, shouldn't he be completely numb like a eunuch?

Because majority of Japanese Authors have apprehension towards sexual activities.
They don't mind showcasing lecherous and pervert MC's, but no sexual contact (as they consider sexual activities as something only villian/bad guys enjoy)

This is why outside of Hentai, you rarely see a normal series were MC partakes in sexual activities, even if the series is a Ecchi & Harem.
actually the reason why they dont engage in sex acts has to do with the company publishing the work and the sort of magazine the story is published in. An author can go up to a certain line (ecchi) and still be published in said magazine but the instant a sex scene is in a series said series can no longer be published in the magazine due to various restrictions put into place. you need to have certain licenses and permission in order to have an adult series published, it'll cost more money to have these licenses and it'll cut down the audience size the series can bought by.

The fact of the matter is a company isnt going to spend the kind of money an adult series would cost to publish when said series will only be able to be bought by adults. For them it makes more sense to restrict the sex scenes so the series can be bought by a larger demographic and so thye can make their money back and a profit on the series.

The above is the actual reason why series typically stop at ecchi and dont advance to hentai

I know about this point as well, but i didn't mention it because this applies on just over all Ecchi series which doesn't show any Sexual aspects, like say Fairy Tail for example.

And while it's generally true that publishers do play a part in censoring the plot content of a series based on how the serialised version of series is different from their Web Novel one (like "Loner Life in Another World", or "I Was Reincarnated As The Scumbag From a Netorare Manga, But The Heroine is Coming On To Me", both of who Web Novel are heavily sexualized, but the serialised version aren't)

But what I said is also true proven by the fact that you would find many series which has sexual themes but it's only restricted to the villains or monsters of the story, while the MC doesn't even engage in any sexual activities until either the very end or never, even though there are female characters with him who are willing to engage in it with him.

Series like "A Warrior Exiled by the Hero and His Lover", fall under this as they clearly show sexual activities in the story, but not by MC.
There are other such series as well, and its those that gave the rise to the Beta Male concept in Manga.

Ahem. Pretty sure the Americans don't want to have sex in everything either.
There are sex in at least half of the movie released by hollywood, a huge amount of their tv show that have sex (there is some even in something like "The Experts" I think the name is).
Yeah 'murican are prude in some way, but weirdly they also are totaly obseded with sex.

Japanese do not talk much about sex in the open, and when they are married sex is not something as "vital" as some western consider, but from what i know it's not as bad as most people in the west think.
The idea that Japanese dont like sex and never ever talk about it come from people that are unable to understand that different culture have different way to see the world, so when they see that Japanese dont have sex ten time a day westerner think they dont like sex.

That's a westerner thing. It dont exist in Japan, it's like Shojo-ai and Shonen-ai, these are western things.

What people started calling beta MC was always there, it's just that people never gave it any name. Even decade before any of you started reading manga it already existed.
Even Love Hina's MC would have been called a beta a few year ago.

In movies, and in shows (thus, in private), but in public? Hide that nipple that I could not suffer to see! (We all remember the Superbowl "incident" where Ms. Jackson had a wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake during the midtime and the reaction that followed)
But yeah, they otherwise produce a ton of violent works (promotion of firearms...), and a lot of pornography as well (which is somehow less socially accepted than the firearm promotion). Go figure.

Not gonna lie I thought this manga was abandoned after no updates for 2 years, wonder what the story behind that is
Publisher never renewed it for more. Artist mentioned it on their twitter account and I dropped a link to them in the last chapter from before it went on hiatus
