it's important to distinguish popularity from quality. 'most popular' =/= 'best' (unless we're talking about what's 'best' at being popular (but we're not)).

It seems plausible that there are more borgars sold per year than any other prepared food item.

Not sure 'sales' is the reason they're the world's most excellent food, though - I think that's just because they're amazing.
