So where's the butler/servant to tell everyone what happened during all this. Once again he just disappears when he could have taken some time to explain to anyone, especially since he'd be well known in the territory and among royalty and the nobility. I know to a degree that withholding information from the readers keeps them guessing, but this is next level stupidity when there are two witnesses that can definitively offer explanation.

Pretty much anyone claims they "don't have a right" because of some concept of honour, they're wrong. And for someone who claims to be so loyal, it's the selfish option that puts that perceived honour above actually helping the people of that land. There's no honour in abandoning people for your own feelings. Assuming the people are good, that is.
Can't survive being that jealous with a girl that social. Especially if it's just a few minutes catching up with an old friend.
That's a good strategy. Rely on the experts when you don't have the expertise. So many people fail to do that.
These people don't seem to see value in management.
