or... he goes there, tries to reason with the gangsters, as it is the 'wise' thing to do but fails. Fortunately for MC, she breaks out from capacity and beat up the gangsters.

I was thinking maybe Rikudou's violence philosophy teach her that she doesn't have to strike immediately/ she sometimes goes out her way to take out the bigger game.

So instead of beating up the shorties again, Rikudo plays along if it allows her a way to find out about their boss/location and beat him up/raze the place. ( Of course she didn't need to that in reality...)

Or if maybe she did it because she wants to test MC to see if he is actually willing to embrace the violence philosophy, having full confidence that she can break free anytime.

There is a mention of "them" as targets in the panel dialogue on page 19. I honestly thought the gangsters were going to kidnap any random girls with Rikudo.
