arc went from lame to lame and inconsistent af.

It could be that Miu is comparing Akita to her brother or possibly herself too, or is intentionally gaslighting him.
The brother though, if his thing is learning everything instantly and being great at everything it's not really a shocker that he's the strongest guy Akita's fought until now, the karate dad was past his prime and Bartleby didn't hit hard enough to hang in there once his defence fell apart

I don't know how Akita is going to beat the Taskmaster siscon with Doomsday-level of adaptability, but it would be neat if Akita secured victory using the environment as his advantage this time around.

The best part of the chapter was the last page of Miu. I'm already over the super duper super genius siscon. Thought we finally established Akita "special" skill last arc. Just to introduce a dude who does it 1000x better and faster a couple chapters later. He looked like a complete doofus here. Like whatever he did before didn't amount to nothing. Shit's lame

But I'm sure the author is going to have him pull something outta his ass to win in the end. Despite him looking like his ass can't hang with this guy whatsoever and was let go free.

What bothers me is that the guy tried to choke Akita to death, did a whole discourse about why he wants to kill Akita so bad, then left Akita behind and wandered off...?

I kind of get what you mean, as an older reader I'm kind of distracted with how unapproachable Miu is. Typical "genius middle/high schooler" trope that's been around for almost 40 years in the international realm of fictional stories. For me, it's how she's not showing the same vulnerabilities, ignorance, insecurities, and daily life worries that a high schooler should posses at this stage in their life. It really is taking away from my ability to enjoy the story mainly due to how it introduces some discongruence in her relationship with Akita. If their relationship as high school classmates (and my ability to believe that their relationship is of high school classmates) feels dissonant, then Akita's whole power leveling journey also then feels dissonant.

Ah, the Baki vs Gaia arc! Maybe... Our guy has to use the environment to win, there is no way. Otherwise he will have to go for a dirtier scrappier style, cuz techniques just won't work on siscon. Which, in a way is similar do Darby (daterby? you know the last guy, the one with the mask). Except siscon is very good in counterattack and in offense too. Perhaps... mc will have to go defensive?

Either way... more of the girl' glory and physique pleaaase. Riku and Miu are half of this series weight (I mean this in a good way). Last panel her shoulder and arms were a bit weird, and thin for her strenght, but I'll take the prizes we get!

Let me tell you guys that if you were in this scenario and you thought "Why don't I climb up or give up" that's why you ain't pulling baddies like Setsuna that's loser mentality. That's side character Krillin level mentality. MC is at least trying to survive this crazy situation

Or he does want to kill him, but isn't going to because... being a lawyer, he knows there's no such thing as the perfect crime (and his crazy sister probably wouldn't be above reporting him for shits and giggles) and he doesn't want to risk going to prison for murder, so he's settling for humiliating him. Maybe. Just speculating here. This is set in Japan which has a conviction rate of 99.99% (allegedly) in criminal cases, so even his genius ass wouldn't be able to talk himself out of that if it got found out he murdered someone. I don't know, but they did mention he's also a lawyer, so he might actually cite the law and Japan's conviction rate later as his reason for not killing Akita when he had the chance to. "I did want to kill you, but I also don't want to go to prison."
