I was intrigued by the premise but if she beats this guy, then this manga is washed. I can suspend my disbelief but there's a limit.
The only way I can see this play out without getting more ridiculous than it already is if she will fight dirty with some Jon Jones-style eye pokes, nut kicks or use some object to beat the guy up just to "prove" that real fight is different from martial arts.

Tbh not smart enough, as he first need to train his body and stamina. Learning a lot of tricks won't help him if he doesn't have the strength to put on them.
🫤Why do you think he went to a legitimate gym?Combat sports athletes don’t just drill moves. The average client in this day and age will be given a sufficient amount of cardio and strength training. On top of the techniques beginners are supposed to learn

Glad MC is smart enough to know that being a one trick is not enough to win every fight.

MC trying to learn from different fighting experts is a good idea but Rikudou fighting this dude now is crazy! Hope this dude will laugh off the request and shove Rikudou out the door.

Agreed, this MC ain’t special but I’m glad he has some common sense. If the person I’m working with is a dog shit teacher I’d find someone else to. And I’m right there with you on Fuwa just kicking her dumbass out.

He is a Champion level Athlete, with clients more than willing to pay him for his services, and controversial enough promoters have to set up fights for his haters to watch. There is no incentive for him here and it’s just way more funny to see her get banned from the gym or get beat for the first time

Plus, it would just be objectively more fun to have the protagonist learn streetfighting tactics and practical combat sports moves.

Fuwa could even turn the story into something actually interesting and propose a question of what will make the MC reach his full potential

Controlled violence or unadulterated violence?

If she wins thats gonna be plain stupid even for a fictional manga no women in this world can ever beat a pro fighter there's a reason why men and women sports are separate

A manga based around a realistic concept like real humans fighting can only go so far before it ceases to even be interesting because the writer doesn't have to work around anything.
Like watching a race between one drag racer and a bunch of street legal Toyotas. Funny for a second maybe but otherwise who cares?

Dats the biggest issue here if she wins. it raises the question of "WTF did you start realistic to begin with?"
This is where the self awareness of manga like History's Strongest Disciple work better.
They shoot straight from the FIRST FIGHT saying "Leave if ya hate Rule Of Cool"
imo readers will always respond better to consistent narratives

Mhm exactly, and I just think its almost impossible to create any interest or stakes if you do rule of cool as hard as we are speculating this work is about to go with non-supernatural humans.
Real human society has no interesting twists or curve balls to throw at a human shaped killdozer.

Yeah, they could’ve at least tried to keep it somewhat realistic. Weight classes exist for a reason, and I can say with confidence that a 60 kg girl isn’t beating a 93 kg MMA fighter—no matter how technically skilled she is.

Thanks for the chapter!
no 60kg girl is not beating 93kg (more than that actually, 93kg is light heavyweight, I assume he is either heavyweight up to 120kg or super heavyweight which has no upper limit, and even if he were to be light heavyweight, so to 93kg, that's only for the scale a day before the fight, he is probably fighting at higher and on regular basis like this he would probably go over 105kg easy) man that had a year of martial art training, like very, very, top, maybe, and no 60kg girl is beating a 60kg man that actually competes, like Julianna Pena, or Kyla Harrison are not beating any dude that does MMA professionally
