ya i was thinking of kakegurui, which is also garbage
Strangely the artstyle feels more on Korean-ish style than Japanese to meHaven't read the oneshot so have some expectations from this.
I disagree with her ideology though, since the first chapter obviously didn't set the right tone for it (being that kinda world). We don't even know yet what kinda world they live in. For all we know, a batshit crazy girl just came to a normal school and started beating people up. (Unless that's exactly what they're going for, just random violence, lol)
To make you understand with what I mean, if this was a fighting manhwa, I obviously wouldn't mind, since I would just assume it's a world filled with gangs and runs on violence.
The police can't mend bones, mental trauma or resurrect the dead. They can't even let you get revenge, effectively they protect the perpetrator from retaliation. Her ideology is stupid. Why should the law, morality, and justice no longer apply if she's "stronger." What happens if he goes to the police and reports her? She will be arrested, and then rot her youth away in a prison
Does retaliation mend bones, fix mental trauma, or resurrect the dead? A prison sentence isn’t meant to avenge the people the criminal hurt, but to protect others from him or to help him learn his lesson—so that once he’s out, he’ll be a normal, contributing member of society. The police can't mend bones, mental trauma or resurrect the dead. They can't even let you get revenge, effectively they protect the perpetrator from retaliation.
Oh man, the one shot was way better what the actual fuckMy disappointment with this is immeasurable.
For those unfamiliar, this started with a one-shot called Koroshi to Uso no Marriage, released on April 27, 2024. It was a police-crime romance thriller packed with action and violence. If you haven't read it, go check it out—it's amazing. Initially, if I remember correctly, the artist announced that it would be serialized around November 2024, but it ended up being "delayed."
However, as you can see, the premise and story of the one-shot were completely abandoned. Instead, the serialized version was rewritten into a generic high school setting, retaining only the MC's name and design, the FMC’s design, and the action/violence. What a letdown. This is basically Kakegurui, but with gambling replaced by action, violence, and sex.
I genuinely cannot comprehend why they would throw away such an interesting premise for something so uninspired. The one-shot had so much potential… Seeing it reduced to a cliché-ridden high school setting is a disheartening change. What a colossal waste of potential.
Thanks for the chapter!
nice whiningWow this shit is edgy and the philosophy of the main girl is really dumb. I imagine it wont ever get challenged either(just of the vibes this manga gives) so i dont think ill continue reading.
Maybe itll prove me wrong but i will not stick around to find out.
