To be fair, Mario's probably spent more time with Bowser than he has with Peach.

Edit: And... first chapter in, it's actually surprisingly decent. It's not a quick gag series, but actually exploring the ideas of identity and relationships in a reasonable way. You could actually drop the entire Bowsette thing and use the classic hero/reformed maou setup and it'd fit in equally well.
