Expected some weird Bowsette meme doujin, get something better than 80% of manga out there. Like seriously 10/10, this should be official stuff from Nintendo. Whoever made this should make a manga because it would be top tier lol.

To whom it may concern, this is still ongoing. The author has an imgur link on a fixed post on his twitter.

@lvxferre
This dojin is actually quite good, I love how Pencils created a whole mythology around the meme.

^ this. it's almost shockingly good. never happen, but i'd loved to see it get an official serialization.

First time I saw this doujin was on danbooru some years ago. Glad to see it here today. Because yes, it deserves recognition.

What's the genderswap tag for? Bowsette? It's already been stated by Nintendo that Bowser putting on the crown, does not = Bowsette. Bowsette does not exist in the Mario world. Bowsette is a seperate, different, and unrelated entity from Bowser, a "original character" fan creation that has nothing to do with the official world of Mario or the Bowser character. Before Nintendo confirmed that, sure, everyone considered Bowsette a genderswap, but after Nintendo disavowed Bowsette (and all other fan created crown transformation characters), it was accepted that Bowsette was her own unique character whos origin is not based on genderswapping Bowser.

I haven't read through all the chapters yet, but unless the author has her flip-flopping between the 2 characters, there shouldn't be a genderswap tag.

Anyone else feels like the art suddenly became AI at around 6.1 ? Eerily so from 6.5 onwards.
And the same thing happened with their other comic. It's quite sad since their art was really charming at first.
And the stories were pretty interesting too...

It's not A.I, it is over 3 years of practice between chapters.
Here's a speed-draw of the process. I am so tired of this day and age when every artist gets under a.i. accusation attacks just for having some modicum of skill. Since I started working on Bowsette, i have been a professional illustrator for years, i have continuously practiced manga style literally daily.
Here's also video of me drawing a comic page in the same style on paper with inks and pencils.
so please, grab your favorite lube and shove your A.I. accusations up your ass.

Hmm, I understand that as an artist being "accused" of using AI can be tiring and I apologize for that.
But at some point there can't be smoke without a fire ? Even your channel that you just pointed to appears to be using AI thumbnails ?
And nowadays you can use tools like stable diffusion to make pseudo-speedpaint videos so...
But anyways the intent of the comment was just to basically say that the original artstyle had soul while the new one really feels... Odd ? For lack of a better term.
It wasn't really to throw shade on you or anything. At the end of the day if someone doesn't like something, they should just ignore it. Which is what I'll do after writing this. I just felt compelled to write my previous comment since I liked your old art a lot.
So yeah it does not really matter if you use AI or if it's just your style that "looks like AI" or whatever. You don't need to prove anything either.
Have a nice day.

Maybe you can have A.I. to make pseudo speedpaint videos but those have consistency errors, and aren't clip studio paint watermarked. It's funny how A.I. accusers try to fight their accusation to tooth and nail, doubling and tripling down even int he face of evidence.

Odd? I guess, my primary reference for my art style that I've been training is cacha game art since it seems like a potential career move to me, so I've been putting my efforts to get that style down. I've drawn western style comics and more cartoony style for 20 years before I really got into anime style so the adjustment has been curious experience to begin with.

You're free to do that. But you're dismissing a lot of time I've spent practicing and honing my style when you accuse me of A.i. use. Sure my speed draw thumbnail is A.I. It's made by Microsoft copilot, never claimed otherwise, it's a placeholder until I have time to make my own thumbnail for my speed-draws Art takes time, and I have only so much of it so I put it towards my comics and commissions with a priority over a Youtube thumbnail. It's even blatantly obvious as such. but I draw my comics myself, and seek out the references for my art myself, not prompting A.I. Because I want to actually learn to draw in japanese style and I can't do that if I trace A.I. slop.
So yeah it does not really matter if you use AI or if it's just your style that "looks like AI" or whatever. You don't need to prove anything either.

A.I. was trained of popular artists work, you know, those who make cacha game art and anime. Whose work I also am studying. You saying it looks like "A.I." is again assigning to A.I. the skill and talent of other artists who got good and then some scum took their work and fed it to their slopmachine. Before I went for Cacha game style, I used Saga of Tanya the evil as my reference base, thus likely different stylistic influence. You're entitled to your opinions and not liking my art, but throwing baseless accusations and implications without proof is some shit behavior.
