An awful confession, a training montage, and a pair of friends who act as encouraging parents... this chapter has everything

Been meaning to read this one for a while and I happened to see it'd been updated on here so checked it out... and then couldn't help myself but to immediately buy the volume so I could finish it off and omg it was really good. Fair warning though: it gets quite dark in the next few chapters so I would advise you to prepare your kokoro....

really enjoying this because of the mc's friends! a lot of times in BL the friendships are never really fleshed out? or more like friends exist typically to act as a second couple, but this dude's friends are really helping him out and going the extra mile with him! i really like that. the humor is great, god that confession scene had me rolling, and this series has a lot going for it. I can't wait until we get more into arima's character, even though i know it'll be sad and or disturbing, i have a couple of hunches as to what happened in his past, and i'm looking forward to understanding him more.

The dynamic between MC and his friends is so precious i love it ❤️ but it is a bit quite shocking about the MC flashback on his family, it is quite sad to know until today he put up an energetic and enthusias charisma born from protecting his kid self in facing a sad reality.

I like how this doesn't take place in some fantasy world where same-sex relationships are magically socially accepted far past the extent they are in reality. It makes the story feel a lot more grounded and realistic.
