so uh, does this “paedophiloc act” warned on the front pages mean this is, y’know, shotacon? or is it more like offscreen tragic backstory? cos if it’s onscreen (a) tags! and (b) no

Oooooooooooh shit. Its getting darker and darker. And Its getting better.

Its really sickening me, Japanese law (or asia in general) about pedo&rapist.
The teacher raped a 3rd grader boy, trying to do mutilation and about 6years later he could be come to school, near the victim. While our "maria" got traumatized for life.

From a country that had very lenient law against rapist, i could vouch that shit like this happened in real life. Not to mention victim blaming. I hope he don't go that shit too...

Ps. Please add sexual violence tag.
@zips i think it not shota. Most shota tag include a shota chara as main/regular chara. Its just few pages, in the past.

Edit: Thank you fo adding the tag....

Holy shit man, the author did not shy away from the brutality of this. Why did the man even come to his rehearsal years later? What law even allowed him to do so? What a fucking shitshow..

Apparently it already ended with chapter 6, so two more chapters.

I started reading this expecting a cute story between a crossdresser and another boy. I didnt expect it to be this deep and dark.

I like this manga but... this was such a jarring tonal shift and way too graphic considering the chapters that came before. A full view of the act, certain close ups and angles, and even the addition of the freaking sound effects. I don't want to assume the mangaka's intentions, but I almost get the feeling it
and by "it" I mean child rape
was drawn to be titillating which really really grosses me out and made it extremely hard to read.

In my opinion the ending should be him being a male and accepting his male gender the thing is all his trauma is caused because everyone around him did not accept his dick His mom didn’t the teacher didn’t even wanting to cut it off and because of his trauma all male activities makes him sick to the point of collapsing.

So for me it would be illogical to say yeah my idiot mom and rapist teacher was right I should cut of my dick instead of you know those two are wrong and my dick will stay on and live as a male.

He can be gay pretty sure that’s what most readers want but his gender should be male and he should accept his male side at the end of the series cause saying the horrible people around you were right all along is quite shitty tbh.

@talltales , it was a very accurate depiction of the events and was likely to immerse the reader into feeling a similar emotion to the one the protagonist was feeling. In no way should that have been intended to be exciting but rather it was you who interpreted it that way

Everyone is talking about how the shitty teacher shouldn't have been released, but that wasn't how I interpreted that scene. The notion that he got out on parole and immediately tracked down the kid he abused, not to get revenge or do something awful, but to calmly watch him perform, seems improbable. Also they refuse to show the guy's face, even though it was shown a lot previously. I don't think the teacher was actually there. I think Yuu saw someone who looked like him, and it freaked him out. Speaking from experience, when someone does something horrible to you, sometimes just seeing someone who looks vaguely like them can set you off, since you think they've come back to hurt you again. This can occur regardless of whether it is rational for the person to be there. This is most common in the months after the incident, but even years later that fear can come back in some horribly unexpected ways. Especially if you haven't gotten proper psychiatric treatment, which it doesn't seem like Yuu got. I can't prove that it wasn't him, but that was how I saw that scene.

@talltales I more or less agree. I don't think the author was deliberately trying to fetishize the incident, but I do think they got really graphic in a way that wasn't necessary for the story. The sound effects in particular felt really gratuitous. The content warning helped a bit (thanks translators), but people reading the raws didn't get that, and even with the warning it was a really upsetting scene.

@bigvoii I think there's an undercurrent of eroguro (erotic grotesque) in the scene, which is possibly what is off-putting.

@mirewitch I read the original and while it wasn't completely out of the blue, it was pretty unsettling. I've come to appreciate trigger warnings in English-language works. I think it would have been better without sound effects. (For me personally, him completely losing it in practice afterwards was cathartic.) I think your assessment of the teacher is right.
