This is really nice, it’s made me cry a couple times. The romance of the main two kinda take a backseat, but the stories of the side characters really shine. I love how the author portrays children not as a plot device, but people just as complex as adults with their own motivations and character. The romance isn’t heart pounding since most of the characters are married already, but more complex and realistic with themes of child neglect, communication, and separation.
