I'm gonna be honest, I'd love if the manga broke the cliche of the first years losing their first tournament etc etc and the seniors miss out in their final year. The pitcher obviously has already gone through that already, so it honestly feels really nice to see the senior pitcher leading their team to a victory, not him getting blown out and then telling the new rookie pitcher "now it's up to you" or some bullshit.
