tbh I don't think we're supposed to worry about the dead people all that much? Like some of you need to let the author cook for a bit.

It's clear that most of them are getting sucked up in order to isolate atsushi. That god had multiple chances to go for him but didn't

And just when he was about to, "coincidentally" that bitch ass mfer fyodor comes and "saves" him.

Maybe fyodor wants to use the fact that they are simply sucked up in order to force atsushi to do something for him?

Taking them hostage and everything.

And if a lot of the characters aren't obviously out of action, people are going to wonder why they didn't join the fight. Not that that's necessarily good writing. But with a large cast like that you kinda have to go "Fuck it, we ball" in terms of writing sometimes. Otherwise you gonna have to spend multiple chapters, killing them of in different ways, which is gonna fuck up the pacing a little imo.

So personally I'm just gonna sit back a little watch how this plays out before forming an opinion.
