My 2 cents: Great was a very good bad guy (zuko like) but got a too long backstory (while zuko had a masterpiece of 1 ep feverish flashb and was more than enough) and his "redemption" through flashb was really meh. even if someone knows your story, it doesn't make you feel better, nor better. A good redemption arc would have been much more appreciated, giving great a deeper char instead of turning lil bear into a care bear with a cheesy speech.

Your definition of a good backstory is an pg13 western animation where a majority of Zuko's backstory did not involve murder and gray linings but instead an abusive household, and a burned face. I think that's hardly a good comparison to what Great went through and how much lore that needed to be covered. It wasn't simply just Great's backstory, it was practically the origins of half the cast and the entire timeline itself. You are absolutely deluded, and I can already tell by that Hades pfp that your tastes after solo-leveling are still garbage.
