The glasses were probably for eye strain/fatigue from how much she enjoyed reading. Spending a long period as a cat, not reading, would've given her eyes a break from that. She'll likely be needing glasses again soon, getting migraines from squinting is the worst.

This is the point I live for in these kinds of stories; where the heroine and her "usually perceived mean by general society" romance interest finally coalesce their relationship and show they love each other beyond the hearsay. This also happened in My Happy Marriage; I would highly recommend watching that if you like this manga(I watched the anime; can't comment on the LN or manga version).

Ironically, her sister turning her into a cat and stealing her husband allowed Marie to escape a less-capable husband for a more capable/powerful one. I can't wait to see how seething mad Marie's sister will be once she finds out 😂.
