So it's going to start with a super slow burn, and then get axed before getting to the meat of it?

Maybe it's just because it feels sort of like a fusion between Revenge of the Soul Eater and Chivalry of a Failed Knight, two series that I highly enjoyed, but I have a good feeling about this one going forward. The pacing is already better than the (unfortunately cancelled) manga for Soul Eater, and because we started with his struggles from so early on, the MC felt a bit easier to connect with than with Kurogane, so my hopes are actually quite high for this one. The author has me a bit worried since they don't have a good track record of taking care of their main characters' traumatic pasts in any way besides 'I'm strong now so I don't care', but I won't let that stop me from giving this a chance.

Yet another "banished" story. I guess this one was a dumpsterfire since the scanlation team didn't even bother finishing the first chapter.

idk man, if he doesn't kill those who insults his mother, it's instantly ass, maybe that's what happen since the scanlation team dropped it?

It's getting rarer and rarer to find stuff like this.

there are a few more chapters out there but rit-tard scans muddied the water by marking chapter 1.3 as chapter 3 and totally fucking the chap orders on aggregate sites. Then it skips to chapter 4 or 5 I think. One day we might get proper chapters, who knows.

I'm curious as to why this sorta slop always gets honestly really good art. The premise and execution is nearly always nigh-dogshit generic, but the art somehow is always good, shading and detail and all. Is it because it's only meant to be promotional and thus the expectation of a long-running series isn't imposed?
