I fucking like this start. It's good. We know from ch1 that he KNEW that he's acting like shit. The letter is a knock to the jaw that he needed to fully face his weakness and strive to be stronger.
I would rather see the usual cliche where he hits his head or something to suddenly remembers his past life and the personality changes 180 degree. not sure i can stand to this useless arrogant MC. Character development wont be fulfilling anyway.
Anyways, it kinda sucks that he’s closest to his servant. He even went as far as to (try) protect him in the last chapter. His parents probably left him to his own devices when he needed guidance instead, and that’s how he became like this.
honestly, to me it made sense because this is a case of learning about the future. He knows for a fact that if he doesn't change in some way, he will lose everything. That can be enough shock to anyone to do drastic changes. And it's very much in character for someone arrogant to not just run away, but tackle things forward, luckily he had the seeds of positive change in that "tackle things forward" in this case, imagine if his supporting cast weren't nice people, but still capable enough to train him? he'd prob still have the same attitude in that universe.
This is kino for the author actually spurring the readers to try and better themselves too. That message is just as much for any of us as it is for the pig too with the author telling us not to stick to your own selfish ways and instead try to reach out to others lest you regret your time spent.
I'm really fucking excited to see if the author handles this as delicately as he's shown so far. MC clearly isn't as bad of an egg as he acts considering him trying to protect his servant. That, plus his constant self doubt over his actions and him coping with his own outbursts, but being unable to take a step forward means he really wants to change but can't bring himself to acknowledge he's been wrong for so long, probably from him being a noble growing up. Bro just needed to know from his future self that even if he thinks he's right with this current state of affairs, it won't end up making him happy at all.
If I had to guess based off of the volume cover(which I didn't realise was him until I saw it against after reading the second chapter),he probably will get his youthful look back.
Not in the three days before the duel, but probably soon enough.
It looks fun, but the "I came back after being killed because i was a POS, now i´ll be better" shtick works because the character knows exactly what will happen if they don´t do better, here, is a bit harder, but we will see
