Awww this was so cute and though it's obviously not Inoue's best work, it definitely doesn't deserve the hate that it gets. There are plentiful cliche tropes throughout, but it's enjoyable regardless and I definitely thought it got better as it progressed. Also I loved being able to see the individual brushstrokes of the colouring. Would recommend to anyone who can enjoy things without taking them too seriously.
