@livesofflight While I love Ushio and am anticipating to see when and how she shows back up at the end of the day it started as a fairly ordinary young adult romance with a manic pixie dream girl. Personally though I find the stuff that focuses on the actual business of music -- talent management, the trials of being signed vs. unsigned, the hustle to get your stuff out there or organizing shows -- to be far more interesting as it's not stuff that usually gets explored in a grounded way like this. Most music series tend to take a very romanticized look at being a musician and while there's definitely some of that it still seems tethered to the reality and nitty gritty part of it as well.
