@Faulheit It's about getting what you want out of music. Kiyosumi was cloistered but after performing live and forming Azur he realized that he wanted to have his music reach a wider audience, presumably so others could experience that same sort of joy with music he gets. Riku wanted to play music with friends but hated the corporate structure as it killed his dream. Kotaro just wanted to see friends go on to have success, preferably as their manager but if not he was willing to step aside.

This label/talent agency, unlike Oki's, basically seems to offer them what they want with added security on top of it. Not all labels are going to be the same or have the same sorts of people running it. Oki was a ruthless results at all costs guy but this woman seems to be a lot more accomodating thus the situation seems to be a pretty good one for them. They'll have to put the work in but they're getting what they want with financial security on top of it so why pass it up?

This series isn't really about the purity of being a starving artist or anything but about how music's pretty awesome and listening to a nice song that really hits you makes you feel good. Doesn't matter if it comes from some no names performing on a street corner, some up and coming indie act in a live house or something made from a team of producers and songwriters. The only purity that matters in music is how listening to it makes you feel. At least that's the message I generally pick up from the series.

Madam Executive saved them from their silliness! Seriously, Kotaro, talk to your teammates about super-important stuff before a life-changing meeting. It worked out fine right now, but only 'cause you rolled a 20, avoiding the 1-to-19 that end in disaster. Hothead Riku throwing hands didn't help. And... lol... props to Oki here for covering for you guys... lol! How dysfunctional can you be to make Oki, of all people, look like a upstanding citizen? Sheesh!
