@Xxjuggernaut Well, I say "probably" since Souta is desperately of basic human affection that I'd believe he'd forgive her if she apologized and was actually sincere about it. Now, whether Yuri can actually be that contrite and mean it is an entirely different matter and I'd lean toward "No" as it stands.

Think of it from our point of view. I can understand jealousy. I have a deep affection for someone but they don't view me as a potential partner. Unrequited love as a teenager is a very harsh matter. As an adult such as I, it isn't as damaging because there are life problems. Work and social life, you get used to it. But as a teenager surrounded in a social environment and witnessing your targets affections ignored in favor of someone else when you're filled with unstable hormones, it is mind-bending. Especially when this girl's idea of this woman is severely skewed. She's ignorant and her jealousy speaks for itself.
"A 'prostitute' is taking my damn man away! I'm a clean nice girl but he has feelings for that bitch? How convenient that a pack of men with motives of possible rape (seriously Japan. Enough with the rape. It's fucking DISGUSTING) are in view. I'm throwing that bitch under the bus!"
Throwing a woman to the wolves out of jealousy is a severe act of betrayal and abnormal behavior. Our MMC is about to choke a 'nice' bitch.

@Xxjuggernaut Eh, feels like we're talking about two different things. While I agree that the romantic route between them is more than like done, I'm more talking about them simply being friends. And even then, I think it'd be an extremely tough road to get to that point based on how ugly Yuri's jealousy manifested. I want to see them interact again just to see how Souta handles it before saying that forgiveness is impossible.

@Xxjuggernaut If Souta was a normal kid, I would agree. With how he's been depicted, I think he would definitely forgive her if she sincerely apologized.

As far as I'm concerned this story is decent and doesn't kill anything in me, y'all just need to stay calm and not imagine what the author is about to do, its not THAT DARK.

Its worth to note that MC's mother is an actually loving parent as depicted in the story, but they're just VERY poor so she has no choice but to resort to selling herself, the only pillar in her life is Souta he's the only person she loves and trusts in the world.
Haru is from a rich family but her family is absolute garbage and only keeping up appearances and MC and his mom are their opposite.

I can't believe I missed this when it released but damn, what a good chapter.
The major theme seems to be the lack of clear communication, and how it leads to the breakdown of their relationships. No one here knows the full picture, with MC not knowing what a prostitute exactly does, nor knowing that Yuri has a crush on him, and Yuri not knowing that he hasn't had sex with the prostitute, and that their relationship is purely one of companionship. They're talking past one another, and that barrier of communication between them, if they would just listen to one another and explain themselves, would lead to the situation not ending in such a (potentially) tragic way.
This isn't your usual manga romance painful misunderstanding, but intentionally focused on by the character's actions and their inability to listen to one another because of their own pre-determined conclusions. 10/10

I know this is really, REALLY late, but I want to point out that she doesn't know if she'll be raped. Hell, I don't think she even knows if they'd actually go visit her or if she was just spreading rumors to try and get her to forcefully leave, or alternatively, given how she thinks she's a prostitute, demonstrate to MC that she doesn't care about him and how she's just using him for his money. (In her mind, anyway)
In her mind, it wouldn't even really be rape because she thought she'd just sleep with them for money, as she thought that was her job.
I think that her views are misinformed, sure, but I don't think that you could argue that she's complicit in any form of rape...@Xxjuggernaut
