Let me guess....
He can't keep it because he's just dumb with money and her mom find it and will either take it and make his job somehow harder because "reason" or her mom find it, wait for him to get home and then "question" him while guilt-tripping him every damn time and peer pressure him to gave the money to her
@justforthelulz
You're right. He's better off burying it in the yard than holding on to it. His mom will definitely call him a liar if he tries to explain how he found it, and bridge girl will completely distance herself from him if he shows up with cash on hand.
Something that supposed to have a smut tag is in one of the panel 😂😂 thank you for the update! Haru-chan, your tsundere bring doom to this stressed out poor child :'((
Someone get this kid a hug he needs it as his self-esteem just keeps plummeting.
It is funny, well not really funny more like sad, how we thinks Haru and Yuri both think "he's a nobody" when that couldn't be farther from the truth. Haru has come to genuinely enjoy his presence (the whole "buying her" thing to her is pretty much just a joke/excuse they use to hang out she just doesn't know the implications it has from Souta's POV), he just misinterpreted her teasing (probably because he's not used to something like that) and Yuri has a legitimate crush on the boy but she got angry at him (not really angry at him more like she let her jealously take over) so he thinks she hates him now.
Proper communication folks. Its key to a happy life.
And of course his home life and situation with his "job" and his absolute fear of disappointing or angering his mother can't be good for his mental state either.
His mother's emotional abuse has gotten to the point that it's causing him physical pain... Man, the inevitable psychotic break that this boy is gonna have when he finds out that his mom is the town bicycle...
The anticipation is killing me.
Wanna really read it? It's just under your own risk
Some chapters later, Haru regrets heavily what she said in this episode after realizing Souta's penny value for him via stalking him after almost 2 weeks of not seeing him under Kasuga bridge. She surely misses his presence and the teasing from this chapter bites her hard in ch. 14
This episode is gonna be a filter for people who speedreads and for those who can comprehend the characters' actions and thoughts. No wonder the authors decided to publish this manga on a seinen magazine, even though the overall argument can fit on a shonen targeted mag. Poor Souta, somebody shall hug him and tell him everything's gonna be ok.
For the time being, am i drunk or pg. 9 hints at Haru being a childhood friend? Also, for pg. 16, Bart Simpson's quote "Watch this, Lis. You can actually pinpoint the second when his heart rips in half" is wholeheartedly applied.
As a side note, Fumi's emotional abuse is on point here. (if ya didn't follow the raws, pls ignore the next paragraph)Don't want to know what will happen when...
Yuri watches Souta and Haru likely apologizing each other and decides to spill the beans with the mother. Bc as of chapters 12, 13 &. 14, Yuri forgives Souta, gets overly manipulative of him, invites him to sort of a ""date"" and even tries to steal a kiss from him
he ends up giving the lost bill to the police station so they can find the owner of said lost bill. Japanese laws are really strict regarding lost things
Wanna know?? If you wanna wait 'till the scanlated version, just ignore this
She regrets heavily what she said on this chapter
@LordTrollbias, on Yuri's case it's more of an obsession with Souta than a crush. I read some japanese twitter users' afterthoughts from the most recent chapters and they actually think Yuri just wants him under her control, only because he was genuinely nice to her at the junior high school entrance ceremony. Talking about bitches on a sheep skin...
Btw, the instant reaction I had after reading this chapter was. "YAMERO, FURIIZA!!"
@Rhyrhygogo atm the raw version of this chapter was released, i felt the same. It was "YAMERO, FURIIZA!!" levels of pain i felt and wanted to drop bc the emotional turnoils were affecting me on my remote job. My masochistic side won over though, and there you have me posting in l*v*h**v*n when a new raw chapter is released.
@mngdxy she would've called out his bullshit though if he did such a thing. Iirc, Haru hates men who buy women with money, or at least that was what she said on ch. 6 when confronted with the 3 Hidaka school bullies.
