This was for sure a great read, so fun and brought on a bunch of feels, but ugh, such a bittersweet ending. It felt like 20 chapters of just pure misery at the end, not because I thought it was bad, just the slow roll toward the inevitable. Would have been really satisfying to see what would happen if they had let her suck his blood in the end, maybe it could have turned out differently from Mahiru and Kiku, since both MCs were unique beings. I think that would have left a different kind of bitter aftertaste though, having the 14 year old end up with the 40 year old.

Made it to chapter 14 and wanted to suck start a shotgun.
This manga is awful.
Nothing about it is notable. Mediocre character design, mediocre art, boring characters, boring dialogue.
It's offensively bland.

Indeed. I think it was very good, and if I had the time I could have read it in one sitting. The author really knows how to drop cliffhangers so you need to continue reading 😅
But the ending felt like...lackluster? Not even mentioning the few plot elements that were left open.
Still I would recommend it.

At some point the plot feels like it was made up as it went along. This manga has a few great moments but overall leaves much to be desired

LMAO... If you don't have the attention span to even get past 14 chapters then don't leave a negative comment, clearly people like it for a reason.

I loved this manga, great pacing, story, and I liked the characters. The ending could be better but still satisfactory. 9/10

When you are invested in a good story and the story ends, you will feel that longing and emptiness of wanting to know what happens to the characters and their worlds beyond that last page.. many great series that ended have fan-made continuations BECAUSE people were so invested in said story.

I think a big part of the bittersweet feeling can be partially associated with this, at least for me. If you re-read the last couple of pages, you may change your mind.

Ideal ending that will satisfy majority of the readers?

Kou and Nazuna are willing to die for their love, following the ending of Mahiru and Kiku. Nazuna sucks Kou’s blood to find out that neither of them die due to both being deviants in a way.

Then again, an open ending like this allows for these interpretations of “what comes next”.

Sorry, but I can’t relate to people wandering through the city at night for a whole year discussing the same question. That just seems too stupid to me.
