The man had good taste in the mothers style, prim and proper, with an air of responsibility and drive. Also, to people who still think there's grooming, grooming doesn't work when they were still very much a minor at the time, and when there haven't been any contact with the child in nearly a decade, and doubly so when you never requited their puppy love to begin with.
