I want to read a childhood friend romance where that's literally it!

No confession games, No "I went away for 10 years but now I'm back", No incest, No "we have to hide the fact we're childhood friend", No love triangles with another childhood friend, No annoying characters that take 100+ chapters to realize they're in love, No "I'm actually dead", NO GIMMICKS!

Just two people that grew up close and love each other very much!!

I'm fine with Girls Love and Boys love , but would prefer a hetero couple. Also I'm fine with a little bit of drama but otherwise pretty light-hearted

This can't be a hard thing to find... Right?

Adachi Mitsuru has everything you need. At least until you realize you've been reading about baseball and not romance for the last 100 chapters

Misoshiru de Kanpai just finished being TLed recently and is fairly low-key but quite enjoyable. Ditto for I'm in Love with the Girl Next Door (which personally I liked more than the better-known The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses by the same author)

Three Years Apart is more like a collection of anecdotes than an actual story but is really cute.

as a fan of Adachi Mitsuru, I incline to agree,
but I'm pretty sure most of his manga involves heavy love triangle in some sort 😅

(I feel like I've answered this question in another thread before)
Anyway, I'll just add The Coppersmith's Bride, tho it's licensed,
and then Marmalade Boy Little, maybe also the prequel
I also think Maji de Tsukiau 15-fun Mae is pretty tame drama-wise
and Kyou Kara Hajimaru?

We'll get married someday, but for now

It's going to be difficult to find that many titles that match your criteria, as you're essentially asking for the vast majority of sources of "conflict" in romance to be removed.

Yeah, I guess it does leave out a lot of conflict, but it’s just that whenever the romance has a childhood friend heroine, for some reason, they seem to need to add some kind of gimmick. And I’m fine with it as long as the writing is strong, but I just wanted to read something very straightforward with the concept because I feel like there’s a lot to explore and cute moments to see with the concept

Thanks for the recommendation tho!
